New Delhi, Leading News Service: Curiosity about who will be the Congress candidates from Amethi and Rae Bareli, which are counted among the important constituencies of the country, has reached its peak. But party sources said that only Rahul Gandhi will remain the candidate from Amethi and the candidate will be changed only in Rae Bareli.
Congress has indicated Rahul's candidature in Amethi. But this will be announced later. According to sources, the candidates for these seats will be announced after the second phase of voting. Amethi and Rae Bareli constituencies will vote in the fifth phase on May 20. The notification for this phase will be issued on April 26. On the other hand, in the second phase, the polling will be held in Kerala's Wayanad constituency where Rahul Gandhi is the Congress candidate. Rae Bareli is Sonia Gandhi's constituency. Now that she has been elected to the Rajya Sabha, it is curious who will get the nomination from there. It is likely that Priyanka Gandhi will remain the candidate from there.
In Uttar Pradesh, there is an alliance between the Congress and the SP, where 17 out of 80 seats have gone to the Congress. Candidates for 14 seats have been announced and candidates for three seats namely Amethi, Rae Bareli and Prayagraj are yet to be announced.
