Rahul Gandhi should serve in army before closing on 'Agniveer': VK Singh









New Delhi; Leading News Service: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has announced that the Agniveer Yojana will be discontinued as soon as the Congress comes to power. Union Minister General V. K. Singh (Retd) has launched a strong attack. Singh has advised Rahul Gandhi today (28th) not to talk about the army without knowing anything about it.

Singh said that I would advise Rahul Gandhi to work in the army first and then make a statement about the Agniveer Yojana. If they don't know anything about the army, they should not talk about the army.

Rahul Gandhi had accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Center of turning Indian soldiers into labourers. After Congress came to power on June 4, it had promised to stop the Agniveer scheme. Addressing a public meeting in Haryana's Mahendragarh, he said that the youth of Haryana and other states protect India's borders.
