Rahul Gandhi Nomination: Rahul Gandhi filed nomination from Rae Bareli

Leader Online Desk: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination form today (3rd) from Rae Bareli. Sonia Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Robert Vadra were also present on this occasion. Rahul Gandhi's mother Mrs. Sonia Gandhi has represented this seat in Parliament since 1999, however, she refused to contest the current Lok Sabha elections citing health reasons. Rae Bareli is the traditional constituency of Rahul Gandhi's mother Sonia Gandhi. Amethi and Rae Bareli are considered traditional constituencies of the Gandhi-Nehru dynasty as members of this family have represented these seats for decades.
