New Delhi; Leading News Service: Negotiations will be held tomorrow (30th) between India and France to sign an agreement for the purchase of 26 Rafale-M fighter jets from France.
Officials of the French government will visit India to discuss this and will discuss with the contract committee of the Ministry of Defence. Along with the purchase of fighter jets, an agreement will be signed with France for weapons, simulators, training for crews and logistical support, sources in the Ministry of Defense informed.
India will purchase 22 single seat Rafale-M aircraft and 4 double trainer seat Rafale-M aircraft in this deal. All these Rafale-M aircraft being procured for the Navy will be deployed in the Indian Ocean to counter China. Meanwhile, India had previously purchased 36 Rafale fighter jets from France in September 2019. At that time this purchase was worth 59 thousand crore rupees. So now this discussion is going to be about how many crores will be the purchase of 24 Rafale-M fighter jets.

Rafale-M fighter jets are designed for maritime attacks. These aircraft will be deployed on India's aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. The length of these planes is 15.27 meters, width is 10.80 meters, and weight is 10,600 kg. The speed of these planes is 1912 kilometers per hour and they can fly up to 50 thousand feet.
