It was January 2002…
Malaysia's 62-year-old King Jaafar Muda Musa married Malaysia's 26-year-old famous supermodel Hasleza Ishak in Thailand for the second time. After the marriage which was conducted as per the royal rituals, Hasleza was given the status of the Queen of Malaysia. Hasleza was kept in the royal palace along with the King's first wife Queen Nor Mahani.
Only a few weeks had passed since the marriage of Raja and Hasleja when some strange incidents started happening in the palace. Late in the night, the elder queen would hear the sound of a crying child in the palace, although there was no child in the palace. Finding a headless bird in the palace had also become common. Sometimes sanitary pads stained with blood were found on the roof of the palace, and sometimes the sounds of beating bamboos used to bother the elder queen.
Only a few months later, in October 2002, the decomposed body of the supermodel and Malaysia's little queen was found hanging from a tree near a Taiping waterfall. Her hands and legs were tied and her throat was slit. The revelations that followed Haselja's murder made the royal family scandal a national sensation.
Today in 3 chapters of unsunni dastaanein read the horrifying story of Rani Hasleja who lived a life like a fairy tale, black magic, royal scandal and painful murder-
Hasleja Ishak's full name was Che Puan Hasleja Ishak. She was born in 1976 in Malaysia. There is not much information about Hasleja Ishak's birth anywhere in the film or Malaysian history. However, according to reports, she belonged to a rich family. At a young age, Hasleja entered the glamour world due to her beauty and made a name in the modeling world. Along with big modeling projects, she also started getting film offers.
This is the only photo of Hasleja Ishak.
By the end of the 90s, Hasleja had gained recognition all over Malaysia. Meanwhile, she got married to the King of Malaysia, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa. The king liked Hasleja so much that he proposed marriage to Hasleja. Whereas Raja Muda was already married and was 36 years older than Hasleja. Despite all this, Hasleja accepted the marriage proposal.
Hasleja married Raja Muda in a royal ceremony in Thailand, after which she was declared the Queen of Malaysia. After joining the royal family, Hasleja left the film industry.
Only 7 months had passed since the marriage when Hasleja suddenly went missing one day in October. When there was no news of her for a long time, efforts were started to find her. It was revealed that some people had last seen Rani on 6 October. In Ipoh, the capital of Peran, two people were forcibly dragging her and putting her in a van. Thanks to the statements of the local people, the police started investigating in the direction of kidnapping.
The kidnapping of the younger queen of the royal family, Rani Hasleja, created a sensation in the whole of Malaysia. The police were under pressure to find her as soon as possible. A few days later, Rani Hasleja's car was found, in which some of her hair, traces of blood and 3 cigarette butts were found. The police had guessed that perhaps she was no longer in this world after finding blood.
There is not much information available about Hasleja Ishak's filmography, however this is said to be a scene from his film.
The investigation was still on when, 5 days later, on 11 October, a woman's rotten body was found hanging from a tree near the famous tourist spot Taiping Waterfall, a few kilometres away from the palace. It was clear from the looks that the body had been hanging from the tree for several days. When the body was brought down, it was seen that the hands and feet were tied tightly with rope and the throat was slit. That body was of none other than the queen of Malaysia and supermodel Hasleza Ishak.
Seeing the brutality done to Rani Haselja's body, Malaysian Police Chief Noreen May termed it a crime of passion.
The discovery of Hasleja's body brought the Royal family into the spotlight and the investigation was speeded up. The police arrested five servants working in the palace on suspicion.
The arrest of the servants proved to be an important link in this case. Out of the 5 servants arrested, 2 were bomohs. Bomohs are those people in Malaysia who practice black magic to control ghosts and spirits. Whereas, the other 3 people were servants of the palace.

When they were strictly interrogated, the black magician Mat Saad Isa confessed to the murder of Hasleja and said that we kidnapped Hasleja and beheaded him.
Everyone was shocked to hear the revelations made by Mat Saad Isa in his confession. He said that he had done all this on the orders of none other than the palace's senior queen Muda Nor Mahani.
The Elder Queen Muda Nor Mahani with King Jafar.
After the accused confessed to their crime, Rani Muda Mahani was arrested. It was not easy for the police to arrest the queen of a royal family. The discussion about this royal scandal intensified across the country and fingers started being raised against the royal family.
Hasleja was murdered to stop black magic
During police interrogation, Tantrik Mat Saad Isa told that ever since Hasleja came to the palace, some strange ghostly incidents were happening in the palace. The king used to give importance to his second wife Hasleja, which annoyed the elder queen Muda Nor Mahani.
He further said that black magic was done on Badi Rani, due to which sometimes she would hear the sound of children crying, and sometimes she would see snakes in the room, which would disappear within a few seconds. It had also become common to see decapitated birds on the floor of the palace. Badi Rani often heard the sound of bamboo being beaten at midnight, while blood-soaked sanitary pads were often found on the roof of the palace. Many times, Rani would suddenly vomit, from which crystals would come out.
Troubled by these statements, the queen sought help from her nephew Rahim Ismail, who knew the art of Tantra. Rahim also brought his tantric friend Mat Saad Isa to the palace. The queen suspected that Hasleja had done black magic on her to get the king.
They felt that the king was drifting away from them because of Hasleja's black magic. The elder queen took the help of tantriks to get close to the king. Those tantriks gave the elder queen a buffalo's nose string, which she used to dip in water and drink it. The elder queen also mixed the same water in the king's food and water.
When there was no change even after the tantra-mantra, the queen ordered the tantriks to end Hasleja's black magic. To stop the black magic, those tantriks kidnapped Hasleja and then killed him by slitting his throat.
After the murder, they tied Rani Hasleja's hands and legs and threw her off the bridge, leaving her body hanging on a tree near the waterfall.
When the elder queen Muda Nor Mahani was questioned, she confessed that she had hired the tantriks. However, in her defense, she said that the tantriks were ordered to end black magic, not to kill Hasleja. Due to lack of evidence, the elder queen was released in just 1 week. While the two tantriks were sentenced to 14 years in prison for killing the younger queen Hasleja. Raja Muda's name was nowhere mentioned in this entire case, nor was he questioned.
In 2019, after the death of Queen Muda Nor Mahani on 3 October 2017, Raja Zafar married Nazhatul Shima of the Perak Royal Family for the third time.
