Pulkit Samrat and Richa Chadha's film 'Fukrey 3' is going to premiere on TV today i.e. on 19th May. Its director is Mrigdeep Singh Lamba. The film earned Rs 128.37 crore in theatres. Makers and actors say that this comedy installment of theirs was made grander than the previous two films. Pulkit and Richa had a special conversation regarding this.
Are there any preparations to take the 'Fukrey' franchise to a scale like 'Housefull'?
I think 'Fukrey 3' was quite grand in itself. Compared to the previous two parts. Shooting this part was quite challenging for us. We shot it in many locations. We were shooting a scene in Part 3, in which there is a crocodile below and above we are boys with a crane. There was a lot of grandeur in this scene. We were wondering how Mrigdeep sir has planned to shoot it on such a large scale this time.
How much did you guys miss Ali Fazal during the entire shoot?
Richa said- I missed him but in the end he comes for some time. Otherwise, I live with him only, so I don't feel like I miss him much.
Pulkit said – If the next part is made, only Excel Entertainment and Ali will be able to tell whether he will be there or not, but we definitely missed him in Part 3. It was a surprise for us too that he is at the end of the film and is going to shoot it.
Do you consider the 'Fukrey' franchise as your best work?
Pulkit said- I always try to ensure that every work I do is the best, but yes, definitely 'Fukrey' franchise is my favourite. In this I got a chance to showcase my talent. Even if I was not a part of it and was just a spectator, it would still have been my favorite film.
A lot has been learned from the shooting of its first part till now. I was very raw at the time of the first film. I grew a lot while shooting. The environment I got during its shoot helped me move forward. After this, if I talk about my second favorite film, I like 'Taish'.

Was there any special challenge during the shooting of 'Fukrey 3'?
Pulkit said- We all are just burnt in the third part. We shot in Delhi in the scorching heat. We also went to Madhya Pradesh, at that time the temperature there was 49 degrees. This was no joke. Literally, if we were asked to sit in the car, we would sit but would not be able to get up. The weather was a big challenge. However, there was excitement to come together again.
Can't the makers show the soft corner of Bholi's character more openly?
Richa said- I think in this part, Bholi was getting beaten and was also happy with Chuche (Varun Sharma). So, in a way, this is an exposition of the soft corner of my character. If she is too soft then Bholi will not remain innocent. The element of mischief in the script comes from that. So we have to maintain that also. That's why I think there are certain limits to Bholi's softness, she can't be more soft-hearted than that.
Was there ever any discussion with the director or writer about making your character more comic in the 'Fukrey' series?
Richa said- I feel that my character has been comic. Everyone has their own style of comedy. Varun's character does physical comedy. He does comedy according to his mental age. Manjot performs satirical comedy as Sardarji. So it can also be said that he does not do comedy but only taunts others.
I find my character completely comic. A different style of comedy is reflected in my dialogues. For example, I say to Manjot… Oh, you are a cat's boy, aren't you?
What level further does the character of Bholi Punjaban want to reach?
Richa said- In this part, she kept on becoming the Water Resources Minister. Chucha was going to win. A third person wins over him. If the next part comes then Bholi will no longer have political ambitions, because she has given up that in this part. Maybe she will think more evil thing now how to earn money. His goal is always that if he invests Rs 10 thousand then how will he earn Rs 25 thousand.

In recent years you have done many women centric projects. Was it intentional?
Richa said- Every actress wants variety work in her career. Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Taapsee Pannu have also been doing women centric films. Somewhere all the heroines want that they get to work in a big love story. Such films are also liked. But when there are biopic type films, like I did 'Madam Chief Minister'. When you get such films based entirely on your shoulders, you feel a responsibility. There is a big challenge and a big opportunity. I think that's why actresses want to do films with full-fledged roles along with other films. In which the entire story revolves around them.
Recently Pulkit Samrat got married.
When will you be seen in solo action, comedy, romantic roles instead of multi-starrers?
Pulkit said- As Richa said that variety is a good thing, I would like to do every kind of role under it. In which there is romance, comedy and action. Although my 'Sanam Re' came long ago. It was solo, there were two actresses with me. I will soon be seen by the fans in such a project. In which I have a solo role. Working on it.
