Producers used to call Rishi Kapoor for Ranbir: They used to say- introduce us as producers, Rishi used to reply- I am his father, not his secretary

Late actor Rishi Kapoor has always attracted people's attention with his wit. There was a time when his son Ranbir Kapoor became popular, all the producers started calling Rishi Kapoor when they could not contact him. In such a situation, the veteran actor used to get angry and say that I am his father, not his secretary.

In Aap Ki Adalat, Rishi Kapoor was asked if he gets angry when people ask him about Ranbir. To this, the actor said, no, it is a matter of pride. Yes, but I feel very sad that some producers and directors call me to introduce us. So I definitely tell them that I am Ranbir's father, not his secretary. If you want to cast him in the film, then tell him the story, what will you do by telling me the story.

If he had listened to me, he would never have let me do Barfi- Rishi Kapoor

Rishi Kapoor further said, if I had taken decisions for Ranbir, I would have never let him do Barfi. I thought what kind of a movie is this, how can you make a movie on someone who is deaf and dumb. So my decision would have been completely wrong for this generation. The thinking of today's generation is completely different. My generation's thinking is different. So I used to say, you will fall on your own, your movies will not work, then you will make a bank for yourself with your struggle.

Let us tell you that Rishi Kapoor married Neetu Singh in 1980, with whom he has two children, Riddhima Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. In the year 2020, 67-year-old Rishi Kapoor died of leukemia. The late actor was a part of the film industry for 50 years.
