Leader Online Desk: This year, on Friday, May 31, monsoon is entering Kerala, India, a day earlier. In this background, yellow alert has been given to most of the states in India till Wednesday, May 22. Meanwhile, most of the states in the southern peninsular region of India have been warned of pre-monsoon rains. The information in this context has been given by Indian Meteorological Department through Ex Post.
The Meteorological Department in a recent bulletin said, “Isolated heavy to very heavy rain will continue over South Peninsular India till May 22. Also, between Thursday 16th May to Monday 20th May, Tamil Nadu and Kerala till Monday 20th May will receive very heavy rain (Pre Monsoon), Indian Meteorological Department has predicted.

Pre Monsoon: Heat wave for next 5 days in Northwest India
Heavy rain is expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 May, Kerala and Mahe from 18 May and 19 May and South Karnataka from Saturday 18 May to 20 May. Also, heat wave is likely to occur in Northwest India and Bihar in the next 5 days. Meanwhile, heat wave will start in East and Central India on Saturday, May 18, the Meteorological Department has also said in an ex-post.
