Prajwal Revanna will appear before the SIT on May 31, he himself shared the video









Leaders Online Desk: Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda asked Prajwal Revanna to return to India and face inquiry in the sexual abuse case. JD(S) Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna shared a video on May 31, SIT. It has been said that he will attend the inquiry. In the video, Prajwal has said that he will appear before the SIT on May 31 at 10 am. They will also fully cooperate with the investigation. Prajwal had absconded from India on April 27 after the Karnataka government set up an SIT to probe the allegations against him.

His foreign tour was pre-planned and elections were held on April 26. He has also claimed that there was no case against him then and no SIT was formed.

I apologize to my parents

He said, “I apologize to my parents. I was in depression. I will come (back to India) and appear before the SIT on May 31.” Revanna made a post on X four days after fleeing the country. In it, he had said, “I am not in Bengaluru… I have communicated (with the police) through my lawyer. Soon the truth will prevail.”

Prajwal said in the video, “I came to know about the allegations while I was on my trip. On May 23, JDS chief and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda issued a stern warning to Prajwal to return to India and face the law over the obscene video. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah then claimed that Deve Gowda had helped Prajwal to leave the country. On May 24, the Ministry of External Affairs had issued a show-cause notice to Prajwal. The External Affairs Ministry is also processing the Karnataka government's request to revoke Prajwal's diplomatic passport. Meanwhile, both the Congress and BJP parties have attacked each other over the incident, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has blamed the old party for not taking immediate action.
