Pooja Banerjee is returning to TV once again after four years with a new mythological show. She last played the character of Goddess Vaishno Devi in the mythological show 'Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi'. Now she is playing the lead role of Goddess Lakshmi in the new show 'Mata Lakshmi'.

Talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Pooja said, 'I always feel lucky because I have been chosen to play such characters. Since we can never see God, it is a little difficult to play his character. We always have to keep his image in our mind. When I am selected for such roles again and again, it is a big opportunity for me. Even before, people have liked my work, that's why I get such roles.

He also talked about the 'Hari Om' platform, which shows content based only on Indian culture and Vedas. Pooja called it a great initiative for the mythological show and said, 'Nowadays people are moving more towards OTT platforms. Through this platform we can connect the new generation with Indian mythology. This is an easy and effective way to keep people connected with our culture. I think this is very important for the future.

When Pooja was asked if she felt any special connection with Goddess Lakshmi after playing her character, she said, 'To be honest, it is not just for special days. God is always there, and it's good to know about Him. We learn a lot from them. People think that it is just a religious subject, but actually it helps in understanding many aspects of life. If you understand Indian mythology properly, you can learn a lot about life. It makes you wiser and broadens your thinking.

Let us tell you, Pooja has a four year old son. Regarding balancing her personal and professional life, Pooja said, 'This is a very difficult question. Trying to strike a balance is very challenging. I always feel guilty when I leave my child and go to work. Every mother wants her child to be proud of her one day. This is my effort. That's why I try to give time to my child along with work and keep my relationship with him strong.

Lastly, Pooja talked about the roles she hopes to land. She said, 'I always think about Sridevi's characters, especially the ones in 'Sadma'. That character is close to my heart. If such a film is made, I would like to be a part of it. Sridevi's acting has always inspired me.
