Leaders Online Desk : Lok Sabha Election 2024 : Nationalist Congress Party-Sharad Chandra Pawar President Sharad Pawar has appointed PC Chacko as the National Working President before the Lok Sabha election results. While Rajiv Jha has been selected as the National General Secretary.
P.C. Chacko is a former Member of Parliament from Thrissur Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala. He was a member of Congress until he resigned on 10 March 2021 citing difficulties. Chaco has a long political legacy. He has served as the state president of the Indian Youth Congress and held various positions in the party. He later joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 2021 and currently serves as the president of NCP's Kerala state unit.
Who is PC Chako?
PC Chacko, who holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Kerala, was born in Kottayam district of Kerala. He became active in politics through the Kerala Student Union. In 1980, Chacko was first elected to the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Piravom constituency. It is E.K. He was a minister in Nair's government. He has also been the Chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee which probed the 2-G spectrum allocation scam.
