Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is currently in jail on charges of murdering fan Renukaswamy. Meanwhile, many new updates related to the case are coming out. According to media reports, it is being said that actress Pavitra Gowda was present at the crime scene because she wanted to see Renukaswamy being tortured.

When his body was found in a drain, one of his ears was missing. There were injury marks on Renukaswamy's private parts as well. Not only this, the body was also scratched by dogs.

On the other hand, after Darshan got involved in Renukaswamy's murder case, his co-star Anusha Rai has given her reaction. Darshan spent 40 lakhs to destroy the evidence
Earlier reports had revealed that Darshan had borrowed Rs 40 lakh from his friend to erase evidence of the murder. Darshan himself has confessed this to the police.
According to the police, Darshan told during interrogation that he had borrowed Rs 40 lakh from his friend Mohan Raj so that he could give this money to his accomplices to destroy the evidence of the murder.

In January 2024, Kannada actress Pavitra Gowda celebrated her 10th anniversary with Darshan. This brought their relationship into controversy as Darshan is already married.
Renukaswamy was very angry with this news. He was constantly messaging Pavitra and asking her to stay away from Darshan. Initially, Pavitra ignored his messages, but later Renukaswamy started sending objectionable messages and threats. After which, according to police sources, Darshan and Pavitra planned to murder Renukaswamy.
