The famous 90s couple Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon will be seen together after a long time in the movie 'Ghudachadhi' directed by Binoy Gandhi.
At the same time, Khushali Kumar and Parth Samthan will also be seen in the lead roles in the film. This film is not releasing in theaters but is releasing directly on the OTT platform Jio Cinema on August 9.
Recently Khushali Kumar and Parth Samthan talked to Dainik Bhaskar about this film. Khushali Kumar described this film as a very different and fun character in her career.
Parth Samthan, who is making his debut in films from TV, said that meeting people for films was a big task. Without even meeting them, he decides that he will not work with TV actors.
Such an incident has happened in the writer's family
In the film 'Ghudchadhi', it is shown that who will ride the mare among the father and son? Because marriage proposals are being looked for both the father and son. Parth Samthan, who is making his debut in films from TV, said- When we heard the story of the film, we burst out laughing. Such an incident has happened in the family of our film writer Deepak Kapoor. In this, I am playing the role of Chirag. Understand that the writer himself is Chirag.
Devika's character is exactly like me
Khushali Kumar, who is playing the role of Devika in the film, said- This is a very different and funny character from my previous films. I always wanted to do comedy. I was told that the character of Devika is exactly like me.
The director had told me that for this film you have to be yourself. I really enjoyed doing this film. The biggest thing is that I got a chance to work with Sanjay Sir and Raveena Maam. Working with them is like a dream come true.
I just kept looking at Sanjay Sir
Khushali Kumar shared the story of her first meeting with Sanjay Dutt and said- It was a fan moment for me. When Sanjay sir came to the sets of the film for the first time, I became pin drop silent. His energy and aura is such that you just keep looking at him. His personality is such that you start enjoying just by looking at him.
It felt like Munna Bhai had come to the set
Parth Samthan said- I had never thought that I would get a chance to work with Sanjay Sir in my very first film. That too, I would get a chance to play the role of his son. When I saw him coming to the set for the first time, I felt that Munna Bhai was coming. He has come after fighting a dangerous disease like cancer. He used to show his cancer X-rays and tell how he kept calm at that time.
It was not easy to call Raveena Tandon a mother
In this film, Raveena Tandon has played the role of Khushali Kumar's mother. Khushali Kumar said- It has been a very fun experience working with Raveena ma'am. She is very sweet and hot. That's why it was not easy to call her mother. In one scene, she even said that she is looking at Khushali with affectionate eyes, but she is not looking at her like that. She is a very good actress. Whatever scenes I did with her, I enjoyed a lot.
People decide that they don't want to work with TV actors without even meeting them
Parth said- I have come from TV, so meeting people for films was a big task. Film people have always had a different attitude towards TV actors. There are many directors who decide before the meeting that they will not work with TV actors. This is very unfortunate. I want to meet them at least once before reaching any conclusion.
Director Binoy Gandhi also had doubts
Binoy Gandhi also had doubts initially. But when the first meeting for this film took place, he felt that the film could be done. I had also shown him some of my showreels. He was very impressed with them. I had done music videos with Khushali. When Khushali was finalised for the film, the search for the hero was on as to what kind of hero he would be. The director himself had seen our music video 'Dhokha', he felt that they could be a good pair in the film.
I watch movies in theatres only when I feel that it will be a good movie with a big star cast
'Ghudchadhi' is not releasing in theatres but is releasing on OTT. Parth said- Today's generation prefers to watch movies on OTT only. Covid has brought so many options on our phones that now we don't need to go out. I also don't go to the theatre unless I feel that it is a very good film with a big star cast. I think the film will come on satellite and OTT. I will watch it there. We have also become a little lazy. But yes, watching a film in a theatre has its own unique pleasure.
