Web series 'Panchayat' fame actor Pankaj Jha is in the headlines these days. He is being liked a lot in the role of MLA ji in the series. Meanwhile, Pankaj is also in the news due to some things said in an interview.

Actually, Pankaj Jha had recently said some things in an interview in a subtle manner which were being linked to filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and Pankaj Tripathi.

Jha said that there are many actors in the industry who glamorize their struggle by snatching work from other actors.

Now Jha has clarified these comments and said that he did not say these things for Pankaj Tripathi or Anurag Kashyap. Pankaj has also called both of them his friends.

Why would I do such things?

He said, 'I did not take the name of any Tripathi in the interview. You can listen to my interviews that I did not take anyone's name. Why would I say such things? Media always needs masala and for this they make such news according to their own convenience.'

Pankaj further said, 'Such news makes no sense. Pankaj Tripathi is a very good friend of mine. We have worked together in many films. He is my junior. He came into the industry after me and I have been here for a long time. Similarly Anurag Kashyap is my friend. He is like a brother to me. We have done films like 'Gulaal' and 'Black Friday' together. Why would I say such wrong things about him?'

What did Pankaj Jha say in his last interview?

Recently, in an interview with Digital Commentary, Jha was asked whether he felt that politics was played with him regarding the role in 'Gangs of Wasseypur'?

In response to this, he had said, 'If politics happens behind my back, it doesn't matter to me. Those who do politics behind someone's back are usually cowards, but if the other person's politics harms me, then the person doing politics has won.'

Pankaj Tripathi played the role of Sultan in 'Gangs of Wasseypur', which was first offered to Pankaj Jha.

Pankaj Tripathi got the role of Jha

Sharing an incident, Jha had said- 'I had gone to Patna for the shooting of a film. There I got a message from casting director Mukesh Chhabra that he wanted to cast me in 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.

When I returned after two days of shooting for some other project, I came to know that the role from Wasseypur had been given to someone else. Let us tell you that Pankaj Tripathi got that role, which changed his fortunes.

Further in the interview, Jha had also said that some people steal someone's slippers and say that he is a very big actor for us, hence we stole his slippers.

Let us tell you that Manoj Bajpayee once came to stay at the hotel where Pankaj Tripathi used to work during his struggling days. Manoj had forgotten his slippers in the hotel which Pankaj had kept. Tripathi had narrated this incident in an interview. In such a situation, it was speculated that Jha had said these things for Pankaj Tripathi.

Jha had targeted a Bollywood filmmaker

In the last interview, Jha had targeted the director besides Pankaj. His comments were linked to Anurag Kashyap. Calling himself a director making actor, he had said, 'If films like 'Satya' and 'Gulaal' have made the careers of actors, then many actors have also made the careers of directors.

But the people here are very slimy. They have no backbone. They can't even keep their words. Some directors are in such a bad state that they themselves have no work. They are working on 36 different projects.
