Palak Sidhwani, who is playing the character of Sonu Bhide in the show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', has accused the makers of mental harassment. Said that she wants to leave the show, but she is not being allowed to do so. Apart from this, Palak has also termed as baseless the news in which it was being said that a notice has been issued to her for breaking the contract. However, Neela Film Production says that a notice has been sent to the actress on their behalf.
Palak called the makers' allegations baseless
In an interview given to Bombay Times, Palak Sidhwani has rejected all the allegations made by Neela Film Production. Palak said, 'On August 8 itself, I had informed the makers about leaving the show. So he told me that an official email will be sent by the team. On which she can send her resignation. But nothing like this happened and they kept postponing my resignation again and again.
The makers did not allow the contract to be read
Palak said, before signing the contract of the show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', I had also asked to read it, but the makers had refused. However, after much persuasion the pointers were given to read. Apart from this, I had also talked about taking other assignments/endorsements along with the show, due to which the makers had no problem.
I was mentally harassed
Palak said, 'I was mentally tortured. When I told the makers about my ill health, my views were ignored. Not only this, I had a panic attack on the set itself, even after this I was forced to shoot. Whereas till date my payment of more than Rs 21 lakh has not been made. Palak further said, I have also taken legal advice in this matter and I will take the decision which is right for my career.
Makers' allegations against Palak Sidhwani
Neela Film Productions, the production house of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' has also issued a statement. In which he said, Palak has broken many rules of the exclusive artist contract. Due to which the show and the production company have suffered a lot. Alleged that without taking any permission, Palak made third party endorsements. Due to this, he was given warnings several times. But despite this, Palak kept breaking the rules of the contract. When the production house was left with no other option, they again issued a legal notice to the actress.
Let us tell you, Palak Sidhwani has been a part of the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for the last 5 years. The actress is playing the role of Sonu Bhide in the show. Before her, this character was being played by Nidhi Bhanushali, who has been replaced by Palak.
