“I will injure you so deeply that you will never be able to dance again from today”
As soon as they said this, the killers shot at Kismat Beg's feet. Kismat shuddered with pain and started pleading for her children, but the killers did not stop. They then fired another bullet at her feet. When Kismat put her hands forward to save her feet, the next bullet was fired at her hands. An epitome of beauty, Kismat Begum was known as the dancing doll of Pakistan. Just the mention of her name during stage shows would attract a crowd.
Once dependent on two meals a day, Kismat got name, fame and luxury in a few years due to his talent, but the turmoil in his personal life ended his life in a few years. He was brutally murdered on 23 November 2016. It was said that his fellow artists killed him out of jealousy, but when the real reason behind the murder came to light, everyone was shocked.

Kismat Beg was born in 1981 in a poor family of Gujranwala near Lahore. Father Mohammad Gaus' meager earnings were enough to provide two meals a day. Kismat also has a younger sister named Sitara Beg.

She became a dancer after her father's death
Kismat was in her teens when her father passed away. Apart from her father, there was no other breadwinner in the family. This was a time when it was difficult to survive in poverty with her mother and sister Sitara. Being the eldest daughter of the family, Kismat obviously took the responsibility of the family.
It was around 2006-2008 that Kismat started working as a dancer to earn money. When Kismat, who was very beautiful, fair complexioned and had brown eyes, came on stage, the audience would stare at her. To take advantage of this, the organizers of stage shows started giving her more time on stage. She would dance and make people laugh a lot with her double meaning dialogues.
Within a few years, Kismat was counted among the famous dancers of Pakistan. Her team used to tour many cities like Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala and perform shows, posters of which were put up all over the city.
After earning fame in Gujranwala for some time, Kismat rented a house in Mughalpura area of Lahore in 2012. Kismat's popularity increased as soon as she came to Lahore. She started getting a place in Pashto cinema and Pakistani TV shows. Meanwhile, she also released her dance CDs, which sold a lot in the Pakistani market. Kismat got direct benefit from this.
With increasing popularity, income also started increasing. Once he used to live in a dilapidated house and earn two meals a day, but by then his luck he bought a house in a posh area of Lahore. With the passage of time his life became luxurious.

Married a businessman at the peak of her career
Rana Muzammil, a wealthy businessman from Faisalabad, used to lend money for organizing shows. This is how Kismat Beg met him. With time, Rana Muzammil started liking Kismat Beg so much that he did not hesitate to spend his wealth on her. He provided Kismat with a house, car and all kinds of comforts in Lahore, as a result of which Kismat also started liking him.

According to the Express Tribunal, Kismat Beg was married to Rana Muzammil and had two children. Only a few years of marriage had passed when differences started arising between Kismat Beg and her husband Rana Muzammat. After a few years of marriage, both started living separately. Rana Muzammil lived in Faisalabad, while Kismat lived in Lahore.
After the separation, whenever Rana Muzammil called Kismat to do shows, she refused. Meanwhile, there were reports that Kismat Begum was having an affair with her personal assistant Ali Bhatt. Both of them used to be together all the time, which confirmed the news.

Due to the arrival of Kismat, the work of many established dancers stopped, due to which many dancers were annoyed with him. Many times he used to have fights with his co-artists. Most of the people working with him did not like him.
I told my mother- I am being spied upon
It was November 2016. While returning from a program, Kismat saw that some bikers were following her. As soon as she reached home, she told her mother that some people were spying on her. Since then, Kismat had started living in fear. On November 22, Kismat's car was also attacked, she reached home in a panic.
On November 23, Kismat Beg had reached her stage show in Lahore. As soon as her car left for home, the attackers who were waiting for her at the theatre started following her. Kismat's car had reached Harbanspura, where her house was. Just a few meters away from the house, the bikers stopped her car. When Ali Bhatt did not roll down the car windows out of fear, they broke the car windows. As soon as they broke the windows, they caught hold of Kismat Beg's feet and dragged her out of the car.
The attackers fired 11 bullets at Kismat
Kismat tried to run away but the three attackers overpowered her. First they shot at Ali Bhatt, injuring him. The next target was Kismat Beg. One of the three attackers said to Kismat- We will injure you in such a way that you will never be able to dance again. Saying this, they shot at Kismat's leg. Kismat started screaming in pain and started pleading to spare her life.
The second bullet was also fired on his leg, as if the aim of the attack was to injure his legs. As soon as Kismat raised his hand to save his leg, he was first shot in the hand and then 8 bullets were fired on his body one by one.
After the attack, the three ran away with all the valuables. As soon as they left, a blood-soaked Kismat called the security guard of her house for help. The guard took Kismat and Ali to the Service Hospital, where Kismat could not be saved despite 8 hours of surgery. However, Ali Bhatt was out of danger within a few hours.
The news of this murder spread like wildfire across Pakistan. This was not the first case when a Pakistani artist was murdered. Actress and model Qandeel Baloch was murdered on 15 July 2016. TV anchor Sana Faisal was also murdered a few days ago. Dozens of Pakistani actresses like Nadira, Yasmin, Karishma, Sangam, Arzoo were also murdered.
In such a situation, all the artists got worried about their safety after Kismat's death. Many artists along with Kismat's family protested on Canal Road and demanded to catch the murderers as soon as possible and increase the security of the artists.
The responsibility of investigating this murder was handed over to the CIA (Crime Investigation Agency). In the initial investigation, it was found that Kismat Beg's fellow artists killed her out of jealousy. In this case, the agency also interrogated Mahnoor, who had worked with her, for hours, but no result came out.
It is written on the grave of Kismat – 'Tell me whose evil eye has devoured you, you were very popular in the world.'
The police also suspected Kismat Beg's PA Ali Bhatt who was present with him. Meanwhile, 3 gunmen were arrested in a raid in Faisalabad. All three confessed to the crime of murdering Kismat Beg as soon as they were caught. Their confession was surprising.
The accused said that they were given Rs 5 lakh to carry out the murder. The person who gave the money was none other than Kismat's ex-husband Rana Muzammil.
When Rana Muzammil was arrested, he said that he did not want to kill Kismat, he wanted to damage Kismat's legs so that she could never dance. According to Rana Muzammil's statement, he was angry that Kismat had a relationship with his PA and she refused to come to Faisalabad and perform.

Kismat's mother forgave the murderers in court
After Kismat Beg's death, her sister Sitara Beg took her place and made a career in dance. When the matter reached the court, fed up of frequent court visits, Kismat's mother forgave the murderers in the court. All the murderers were honourably acquitted. There were reports that the family, fearing the murderers' wealth, had settled the case out of court. However, the family has been denying these allegations.
