Shankar Baba Papalkar
New Delhi; Leading News Service: Padma Shri awardee Shankar Baba Papalkar was felicitated in Delhi today Thursday. A felicitation program for Padma Shri awardee Shankarbaba Papalkar was organized by the organization 'Pudhchan Paol' in the capital Delhi. On this occasion Shankar Baba Papalkar was felicitated by Sports Secretary Sujata Chaturvedi.
Shankar Baba Papalkar, a social activist from Amravati district of Maharashtra, has been awarded the Padma Shri this year. The award will be distributed by President Draupadi Murmu today. The award was announced to Papalkar on the eve of January 26 for the social work of bringing up handicapped children.
He was felicitated by 'Pudcham Paol' before the Padma award ceremony. Shankar Baba Papalkar along with his sons Yogesh and Manaskanya Gandhari were also felicitated on this occasion. Delhi's senior administrative officers Anand Patil, Rajiv Mittal and other dignitaries were present for this felicitation ceremony.
