One percent of voters in the country accepted the note option, Bihar's lead









New Delhi, Leading News Service: According to the data provided by the Election Commission, 1 percent of the people of the country pressed the button of the note indicating their disapproval of any candidate in the Lok Sabha elections. Nota got the highest voter turnout in Bihar at 2.7 percent. In Madhya Pradesh's Indore constituency, as many as 2 lakh 18 thousand 674 voters have expressed their displeasure with the candidates by pressing the currency button.

In October 2013, voters were given a “Nota” option to vote for none. In this election, 2.7 percent voters of Bihar used the option of notes. After that in Madhya Pradesh 1.41 percent votes have been cast. In Indore, Congress candidate Akshay Kanti Bam withdrew his candidature, resulting in a record voter turnout for the note. BJP's Shankar Lalwani won the highest in the country by more than 8 lakh votes. 1.6 percent voters in Tamil Nadu and 1.3 percent in Odisha preferred the note.

Palghar has the highest voter turnout for NOTA in Maharashtra

Compared to the country, Maharashtra has fewer voters who choose the option of notes. Only 0.72 percent voters in the state used the note option. In Palghar maximum 23 thousand 385 voters expressed their displeasure by preferring the note. Raigad, Nandurbar, Gadchiroli constituencies also voted for NOTA. In Beed, Nota got the lowest number of 2 thousand 87 votes.
