While replying to the letter written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the candidates of the third phase, Congress President Kharge launched a strong attack on the Prime Minister. Kharge said in the letters, “I have seen the letter you have written about what all NDA candidates need to communicate to the voters. From the tone and content of the letter, it seems that you have a lot of frustration and concern. Also the falsehood in your speech does not have the effect you intended. So now you have to lie to your candidates. Telling a lie a thousand times won't make it true.”
Every Indian is our 'votebank' – Congress President Kharge
Responding to PM Modi's allegations, Kharge wrote, “You claim that reservation will be taken away from SCs, STs and OBCs and given to “our votebank”. Our votebank is every Indian. Everyone knows that the poor, marginalized, women, aspiring youth, working class, Dalits and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and BJP have opposed reservation at every stage since 1947.”
Khargen's first letter to the Prime Minister on April 25
