Mithun Chakraborty recently talked about his film career. He said that in the initial phase he had to suffer a lot because of his colour. No big heroine was ready to work with him. During a conversation with NDTV, Mithun Chakraborty said, 'I received the National Award for my very first film. After this I started considering myself the greatest. I began to introduce myself to the legendary actor Al Pacino. Then the producers showed me the reality and removed me from all the films. Then I realized I was making a mistake. After this my struggle started.
Mithun said, 'There was a time when all the big actresses refused to work with me. But even after this I never gave up. I was determined that if I had to lose, I would fight. But I will not accept defeat like this. However, there was one actress who supported me, she was none other than Zeenat Aman.
Mithun Chakraborty said, 'In 1983, Brij Sadana was making the film Takdeer. He had decided that Mithun was his hero, so Brij said to Zeenat ji, look, this boy is very good. Zeenat ji said, he is very handsome and dances well. I will work with it. After this again I had a new beginning. Gradually all the big actresses started signing films with me. I will always be grateful to Zeenat ji.
Let us tell you, after the 80s, Mithun kept climbing the stairs of success. He gained more fame with the 1982 film Disco Dancer. The film and its songs were liked more in Russian countries than here. The film was a huge hit in Russia, which was then known as the Soviet Union.
