New Delhi: Fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections is challenging for BJP

New Delhi, Leading News Service: The election campaign for the fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections is over. All the major political parties put all their might to get the lead in the fourth phase. Especially this phase is going to be the toughest for BJP. Looking at the results of the last two Lok Sabha elections, BJP will have to work hard to gain the lead in this phase.

If we look at the figures of the last two Lok Sabha elections, BJP won less than half of the seats in the fourth phase of the elections. In the fourth phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won only 42 out of 96 seats. The performance of Congress was even worse. Congress got only 6 seats in this. Jaganmohan Reddy's party YSR Congress had the best performance in this election. YSR Congress won 22 seats in this election. (New Delhi)

BRS (then TRS) was in third position in this phase of elections. BRS had won 9 seats in this phase. In this fourth phase, Shiv Sena got 2 seats, Trinamool Congress 4 seats, Telugu Desam Party 3 seats, MIM 2 seats and BJD, JDU, JKN, LJP, NCP one seat each. Looking at the fourth phase of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP's performance was even better. BJP had won 38 seats in this phase. Congress got only 3 seats. Also Shiv Sena got 4 seats. Telugu Desam Party won 16 seats in this election. While BRS 11, YSR Congress 9, Trinamool 6, BJD 4, PDP and SP got one seat each. (New Delhi)

The biggest challenge facing the BJP

According to these statistics, the opponents have nothing to lose in the fourth stage. But many doors are open to get some. Fourth phase will be very important especially for Congress. Congress can increase its tally by performing well in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Saving the seats won in 2019 is going to be the biggest challenge for the BJP. In Andhra Pradesh, the BJP is trying to increase its numbers with the help of its allies. But in Telangana, there is a challenge to repeat the performance like the previous election. In Andhra Pradesh, Jaganmohan's party YSR Congress is feared to suffer the most in this phase. The challenge is to save the seats won in the last election. It is correct that the number is not expected to increase.
