New Delhi, Leading News Service: Aggressive against the chaos in the National Eligibility Test (NET) which was canceled on suspicion of alleged paper fiddling, student organizations staged a protest in front of the Education Ministry in New Delhi on Thursday. Hundreds of protesting students were detained by the police.
Students protested under the leadership of All India Students Union Delhi President Abhigyan and JNU Students Union President Ranvijay. A “Rasta Roko” protest was held outside the Ministry of Education for the release of students detained by the police. The All India Students' Union has demanded that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should resign and UGC Chairman Mamidla Jagdish Kumar should be sacked after accepting the moral responsibility for the alleged paper leakage and confusion in NEET and NET exams.
NSUI also protested outside the education minister's house
Activists of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) also staged a strong protest outside Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's residence in Delhi against the mess in the NEET and NET exams. On this occasion announcements were made against Education Minister and NTA. The police detained these protestors.
