Nawazuddin Siddiqui's wife Aaliya has been accused of duping one of her close friends in the name of making a film. Komal Seth, a resident of Mumbai, has accused Aaliya of cheating her of Rs 41 lakh. She said, 'We met for the first time in 2016. Both of our children studied in the same school. That's where we met and the meeting turned into friendship. We started visiting each other's house.
It was 2019, one day Alia demanded money from me while crying citing personal reasons. She said she will return it in three months. I had sold my house, so I had money. I gave her 25 lakhs. At that time, the shooting of one of her films 'Holy Cow' was going on. The film had to be completed, so Alia again begged me for money.
Komal Seth has given 46 lakh rupees to Alia. Out of which she has got only 5 lakhs back. Komal Seth has shared the back statement.
This time I gave her 21 lakh rupees. Later when I started asking for the money, she started crying. She said that even Nawaz does not have money, otherwise I would have asked him and given it. Komal said that she was thinking of selling her house in USA and buying a house in Mumbai. I don't even have money for rent. I live with my husband and two daughters in a small room with one of my relatives. I went into depression. I didn't have money to pay the hospital bills. I showed the hospital bills to Alia, but she didn't give me the money. She has made up her mind not to return the money. I have also sent a legal notice, but haven't received any response yet.
