Nawaz once worked as a watchman and after coming into films, he did not feel shy in doing small roles like waiter, thief and informer. When he did not get money for working in films, he collected his fees by eating food in the production house. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, born in 1974 in Budhana, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, is celebrating his 50th birthday today.

In those days we used to struggle on foot. He used to enter any office to eat food, many times he was even taken out by the collar. At that time, we were thinking that we would get enough food for free so that we could walk the whole day.

Also fired from watchman job

During the days of struggle, Nawaz worked as a watchman in Mumbai, but was fired from there. Actually, Nawaz got the job of watchman after hard work. He had paid the security amount by borrowing money from his friend. Nawaz got the job, but he was physically very weak. That's why he often remained sitting on duty. This was the reason why he had to lose his job after his boss saw it. At the same time, his security amount was also not refunded.

Couldn't even sell coriander during times of scarcity

If time is good then every work is good. During times of scarcity, Nawaz thought of selling coriander, but he could not sell it either. During The Kapil Sharma Show, Nawaz had told that he had thought of selling coriander during the difficult times, but could not sell it.

The actor had said- A friend asked, do you want to make two hundred rupees out of a hundred? I immediately asked him the way and went to Dadar vegetable market. We bought green coriander worth a hundred rupees, made bundles of it and started selling it by shouting 'one bundle of ten'. Within a short time the coriander started turning black and withered.

Both of us went back to the vegetable seller and asked the reason for this and he said that had you poured water? We forgot this and then bearing the loss, left Dadar on foot towards Goregaon. In those days I lived in Goregaon East.

Nawaz has been Ranveer Singh's acting coach

Actor Ranveer Singh debuted with Yash Raj's film 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. Before the shooting of this film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was preparing Ranveer Singh by giving him acting coaching. Nawaz himself had revealed this in an interview.

Nawaz had said- Before the shooting of 'Band Baaja Baaraat', I used to teach acting etc. to Ranveer Singh, but I did that work only for one and a half months. I got a job during that time and ran away. That coaching was then completed by some other actor.

Allegation of spying on wife Alia

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been accused of spying on his wife Alia. Nawaz's name had appeared in the revelations in call data records. According to media reports, Nawaz did not trust his wife and had employed a female spy to follow her. Not only this, he used to collect complete information about his wife's mobile through his lawyer. Although Nawaz had rejected these allegations, Alia also came out in his support.

Fighting with younger brother's wife Afreen

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's younger brother Minajuddin's wife Afreen had accused him of beating her for dowry. She had said that Nawaz tried to abort her pregnancy by kicking her in the stomach. After the controversy escalated, the actor had said in his clarification that he never asked for dowry.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui had a dispute with a neighboring woman regarding car parking. According to media reports, Nawazuddin Siddiqui used to park his car in the parking allotted for two wheelers. Nawaz's book remained in controversies

Nawazuddin's book 'An Ordinary Life' was in a lot of controversies. In this, Nawaz's relationship with TV actress Sunita Rajwar and former Miss India Niharika Singh was discussed. While Sunita had issued a legal notice to Nawaz and demanded an apology and compensation of Rs 2 crore, Niharika Singh had said that Nawaz was defaming a woman to sell her book.

Nawaz had apologized after this episode. Nawaz had also mentioned an incident from New York in this book, in which he had told that a waitress in New York had recognized him, after which there was a lot of conversation between the two and Nawaz had a 'one night stand' with her. .

Rishi Kapoor was angry at Nawazuddin

Chitrangada Singh did not want to do intimate scenes with Nawaz

Actress Chitrangada Singh was earlier working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the film 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz', but she left the film midway because she did not want to do an intimate scene with Nawaz. Later, the character of Chitrangada Singh was played by Bidita Bagh in this film.
