Actor Rishab Shetty has recently won the National Award for Best Actor for the film 'Kantara'. In a press conference organized to celebrate this victory, the actor said that OTT platforms are hesitant to buy Kannada content.

'Kantara' is the fourth film in Rishabh's career as a director.

We don't get any recovery from such films: Rishabh
Speaking to the media, Rishabh said, 'Our films premiere at festivals and win awards but no OTT platform invests in our films. When no OTT platform buys Kannada films, we are forced to upload them on YouTube channels. I am tired of this. We do not get any recovery from such films.'

Actress Saptami Gowda was seen opposite Rishabh in this film.

'I am just a face, the hard work is done by many people'
On winning the National Award, the actor thanked the audience and the film's team. He said, 'I am just doing my job but the victory of 'Kantara' is dedicated to every team member associated with it. I am just the face but the hard work is of many technicians working on the film. I want to thank everyone.'

Now I want to give everything to films: Rishabh
On the work front, Rishabh told that apart from 'Kantara 2', he is currently working on films like 'Pedro' and 'Vagachipani'. He is producing these films himself. He says that films have given him everything and now he wants to give everything to films.

'Kantara 2' may release in December this year.

'Kantara 2' is the sequel to 'Kantara' released in the year 2022. It has been written and directed by Rishabh. He will also be seen playing the lead role in it.
