Leader Online Desk : The School Education Department has directed that all schools in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will begin with the National Anthem. The Principal Secretary, School Education Department, through a circular has also directed all the schools to keep the morning prayer in the uniform as well.
A circular issued by the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Wednesday (13) said, “It has been observed that there is no uniform rule in schools in Jammu and Kashmir. Some schools do not follow the traditional rules. All school functions should begin with the National Anthem. It is an invaluable activity to create a sense of unity and discipline among the students.”
The school education department has also said that in the morning session in the schools, along with national anthem, awareness should be created about the environment and global awareness against drugs.
