Veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah had recently called acting schools as shops in an interview. Hearing this, Anupam Kher, who runs an acting school, is furious. He has said that he does not agree with Ratna's words.

Both have studied from National School of Drama, will they call NSD a shop? Many times some people say certain things in bitterness or become philosophical. I don't need to justify what they think. If they feel that acting schools are shops then that is their point of view. I have no problem.

On Ratna Pathak Shah's comment, Anupam said, 'When I started acting school, I thought that I would teach acting. People say that acting schools are shops but such people will now have to change their perspective. I feel that in these schools we are creating the future generation of actors. It is easy to make such comments. There are also schools for journalism and dentistry. Would Ratna like to go to a dentist who did not go to school? What is the need to pass such judgment about a person who is running an acting school? I think Ratna must not be talking about my school. Many people have opened acting schools and they know how important this work is.

I see only goodness in people: Anupam

When Anupam Kher was asked in the interview whether such statements would spoil the relationship between him and Ratna-Naseer, he said, 'I only see goodness in people. There is some goodness hidden even in the worst person. I remember when I bought my first car, I took it to Mehboob Studio. Naseer was in his car. He met me very warmly and said, 'Wow Anupam, finally you have got the car'. No matter what he says about me, I always remember this thing.
