Sharvari, Abhay and Mona Singh starrer 'Munjya' has collected more than 50 crores in 10 days. On Sunday, the film collected 8 crores 75 lakhs rupees at the Indian box office.
With this, the total collection of 'Munjya' has reached Rs 55.75 crores.
Maharashtra is getting the most viewers
The overall occupancy of the film on Sunday was 46.35%. Morning occupancy was 24.12%, afternoon 51.37%, evening shows had the highest occupancy of 61.43% and night shows had 48.47%.
Due to the Marathi background of the story, the film is getting the highest occupancy in Mumbai (60%) and Pune (57.75%).
After the second week, it did good business in the second weekend as well
Supernatural comedy film 'Munjya' earned well in the second week on working days and then the film got an amazing response from the public in the second weekend as well. It earned 3.75 crores on the second Friday, 6.75 crores on the second Saturday and 8.75 crores on the second Sunday.
Actor Abhay Verma has made his Bollywood debut with this film.
Second Sunday earns more than first Sunday
After earning Rs 20 crores in the first weekend, the film did a business of Rs 4 crore+ in all the working days of the second week (Monday to Thursday).
Whereas it earned Rs 8 crore 43 lakhs on the first Sunday, on the second Sunday it did business of Rs 8 crore 75 lakhs.
Overall, the collection of 'Munjya' is many times better than the collections of recently released films like 'Bhaiya Ji' and 'Saavi'.
The story of the film is based on the concept of Brahmarakshas.
The film is earning well without any star
Apart from the main cast, 'Munjya' also has an extended cameo by actor Sathyaraj who played Katappa in 'Bahubali'. It is directed by Aditya Sarpoddar.
It has been jointly produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan. This is the fourth film in the Maddock Supernatural Universe after 'Stree', 'Roohi' and 'Bhediya'.
