The company had said that we strongly condemn scalping in India. There is a law to punish for doing this. We have lodged a complaint with the police. Will provide full cooperation in the investigation of the case.

Book My Show has appealed to people to avoid such scams. If someone buys a ticket from an unauthorized source, the entire risk will be his/her own. The ticket purchased may be fake.

Those who bought tickets were put in a virtual queue, due to which they could not book tickets. Book My Show app has earned Rs 500 crore from this rigging.

He has also said that this is not the first case of ticket blackmarketing. Before this, black marketing of tickets has also taken place during the World Cup and IPL. On sites like Viagogo, a ticket worth Rs 12500 was being sold for Rs 3 lakh.

Dainik Bhaskar contacted lawyer Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh to know the answer. He said, 'There is no specific law to ban black marketing of tickets for entertainment other than cinema tickets.

At present, only sections 406, 420 of IPC or provisions of BNS and IT Act are applicable in this case. Therefore, the government should make a concrete law to stop such illegal activities.

Former ACP Mumbai Vasant Dhoble said that if fraudsters are saying such things against Book My Show then they should come forward and give clarification. Keeping their complaint in mind, action can be taken.
