The High Court has banned the theatrical release of Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' on September 6.
Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut's film 'Emergency' will not be released in theatres on September 6. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered the Censor Board to allow representatives of the Sikh community to give their opinion on the film before issuing the certificate.

Along with this, the petitioner has demanded a ban on the trailer of the film. On which the High Court said that you should give a new application. We are ready to stop the trailer of the film 'Emergency'. In such a situation, if the trailer is banned, then the trailer of 'Emergency' will also be removed from all social media platforms.
A petition was filed in the Madhya Pradesh High Court by Jabalpur Sikh Sangat and Shri Guru Singh Sabha Indore demanding a ban on the film, which was heard on Monday and then on Tuesday.
Censor Board's argument- Certificate has not been issued yet
The division bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court's Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva and Justice Vinay Saraf heard the case after lunch. Deputy Solicitor General Pushpendra Yadav presented the reply on behalf of the Censor Board on the PIL filed in the High Court. He said that the film has just been issued an online certificate serial number.
The censor board also told the High Court that the certificate for the film Emergency has not been issued yet. During the hearing, the High Court also directed the censor board to act on the petitioner's application. Hence, on Tuesday, the High Court has dismissed the PIL of Jabalpur Sikh Sangat and Shri Guru Singh Sabha Indore. However, the full decision of the High Court is yet to come.

The trailer should also be stopped: Petitioner
During the hearing, the petitioner said that a member of the Shiromani Gurdwara Committee should also be included in the certification of the film. The film should be given a certificate only after they watch it. The trailer of the film is also objectionable, it should also be stopped.
You can apply afresh to stop the trailer
In this case, the division bench of the Chief Justice said that the petitioners can apply afresh to stop the trailer, on which the censor board will take action. Petitioner's lawyer NS Roopraah said that a statement was given by Zee Telefilm that the certificate for the film has been received. Whereas the central government and CBFC said that they have not given any certificate.
During the hearing it came to light that the film Emergency has not yet received a certificate. Now this film will not be released on 6 September. He said that when the government has said that the film has not been given a certificate, then the question of its release does not arise.
The petitioner also demanded a ban on the trailer. HC said- you should give a new application.
The High Court had issued notices on Monday
On Monday, the High Court had issued notices to Manikarnika Production, Central-State Government, Censor Board and other related parties. During the hearing on Monday, the court had said that during the Covid period, we have seen that the Sikh community has come forward and served. They have provided everything from oxygen to food in the Gurudwaras. The service of the Sikh community cannot be questioned.
Sikh Sangat Jabalpur and Shri Guru Singh Sabha Indore filed a public interest litigation demanding a ban on the film.
The film is directed and produced by Kangana. She has played the role of Indira Gandhi in it.

Petitioner's argument- a wrong image of the Sikh community will be created
The petitioner argued before the court that the Sikh community has been shown as cruel in the trailer of the film. This will create a wrong image of the Sikh community in the society. In the film, four Sikhs are shown shooting Hindus. They are saying We want Khalistan, Sanu Khalistan chahiye…. Sikhs have been portrayed as gruesome and dangerous, this is completely wrong.
Actually, the petition was filed by Sardar Manjit Singh Bhatia of Indore and Sardar Manohar Singh of Jabalpur. In the petition, it was told to the High Court that the people of the Sikh community of the whole country are unhappy with this film. It has also been demanded that before the release, this film should be shown to the Sikh officials of Indore and Jabalpur.
Former BJP minister sent legal notice
BJP leader Harendrajit Singh Babbu sent a legal notice to Kangana Ranaut on Saturday. In this, he advised her to fulfill her responsibilities as an MP and also maintain the dignity of the post. Babbu has demanded from PM Modi and CM Dr. Mohan Yadav that the release of Kangana's film Emergency be banned. The Sikh community has been portrayed wrongly in the film, due to which the Sikh community across the country is angry.
