The singer stopped the concert midway on hearing the comment and scolded the man who made the comment. The singer said that often people hide in the crowd and escape after committing sexual harassment.

On Saturday, June 29, Monali Thakur had come to perform at Sage University in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. There was a crowd of college students in the concert. The show was going on when suddenly singer Monali Thakur stopped singing. She said something to her team while pointing towards the crowd and got angry.

After this, Monali Thakur scolded that person on the mic and said openly that a person standing in the crowd commented on her private part. The singer said, 'Some people harass people secretly. This is sexual harassment and it is not right. I am raising my voice on this issue so that he can remember it.'

The singer further said, 'If someone shouts like this in the public domain, it is not right. You should not be like this, you are very young. You should not say such things. It will not be good for anyone to hear this, not just me. This is all I want to say. I had to raise my voice on this, because often people sneak out. I spoke when I got the chance. If others would have known, I would have told others too that this is wrong. This is really wrong.'
