According to this report, 11 ministers have studied only up to 12th. 3 Ministers are degree holders. Criminal cases have been filed against 28 ministers and 19 of them have been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, crimes against women and other serious crimes.
As many as 70 ministers have wealth of more than Rs 1 crore. The wealth of 6 of them is more than 100 crores. According to the report, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has the lowest wealth of Rs 30 lakh.
Modi Cabinet: Most MPs with criminal charges in the history of Lok Sabha
Out of 543 MPs in the 18th Lok Sabha, 251 i.e. 46 percent of the MPs have criminal cases registered against them. This number is the highest in history so far this year. 170 of them have serious crimes like rape and murder. 27 MPs have been convicted by different courts. . They include BJP – 63, Congress – 32, Samajwadi Party – 17, Congress – 7, DMK – 6, Telugu Desam – 5 and Shiv Sena 4 MPs. Earlier in 2019, criminal cases were registered against 233 MPs.
