Mob beats producer to death in Bangladesh: Superstar son also killed, was producing 10 films in Bengali cinema

A bad news has come from Bangladesh which is burning in the fire of violence. Here film producer Salim Khan and his son Shanto Khan were beaten to death by a mob.

Salim was also associated with Bengali cinema in India. He made the film 'Commando' with actor Dev, one of the biggest film stars of Tollywood (West Bengal cinema), which was never released. Salim also directed the Bangladeshi film 'Tungiparar Mian Bhai', which was inspired by the life of Bangladesh's first president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The father and son also fired bullets to save themselves
According to reports, on Monday, August 5, Salim and Shanto were trying to escape from their house when an angry mob confronted them in the Farakkabad market.

He also fired bullets from his pistol to save himself, but was surrounded by a mob in the nearby Bagra market. After this, the angry mob beat Salim and his son Shanto to death.

Many artists from the Kolkata film industry, including Dev and Boney Sengupta, have expressed grief over Salim's demise.

He was producing 10 films in Tollywood
According to a Times of India report, around 10 films of Salim were in the production stage in Tollywood (West Bengal cinema) and many big Tollywood stars were working in them.

Tollywood executive producer Arindam Das also spoke to Salim on Monday. Das said, “I have been to Bangladesh several times to meet him. He had hosted me very well. I am very sad to hear the news of his death.”
