Sharad Shukla's character in Mirzapur season 3 received a lot of appreciation. According to actor Anjum Sharma who played this character, it was not easy to reach here. During a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, the actor told that in the beginning of his career he had to work in the crowd in films.
Anjum Sharma said that when she got work in the crowd for the first time in 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai', it was a big deal for her. She had never imagined that she would be a part of that film. Here are some more special excerpts from the conversation with Anjum Sharma…….
What was the biggest struggle and challenge?
There was never any struggle. But the biggest challenge has been to understand whether we are going on the right path or not. There is no parameter for the work we are doing to know whether it is the right direction or not. When I worked in the crowd in 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai', it was a big thing for me at that time. I never thought that I would be a part of that film. When I worked in 'Wazir', it was a different experience.
How was the experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan in 'Wazir'?
It has been a very amazing and unique experience. When I met Bachchan sahab, I could not understand what to say to him. I have been watching him since childhood. I am a big fan of his. He is our Guru, somewhere we have been inspired by seeing him. I could not find any words to say. Bachchan sahab asked me in front of me how are you? At that time I was in a Sardar's getup. He asked whether I am a Sardar in real or I am just keeping the getup. That was the only conversation we had.
What do you consider the biggest success?
For me, the biggest success is freedom. If you want to make your acting career big, then your personal life should be very good. If there is something good and amazing in life, then acting will also be amazing. If there is emptiness in life, then the same emptiness will be seen in acting as well.
Where did you meet Bhabhi (Neelima Sharma)?
We met during Cadaveri's ad 'Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye'. After meeting, friendship happened and then marriage. Now it has been eight years of our marriage.
Chooja (Varun Sharma) is your relative, right?
Yes, he is my brother in law. He is a very sweet person. When we meet, we have very interesting discussions on various aspects.
