MI vs RCB : Mumbai hold on; Victory over Bangalore by seven wickets leader

Aggressive start from Ishan โ€“ Rohit

Chasing a target of 197 runs, Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma gave Mumbai a strong start. Both shared a partnership of 101 runs for the first wicket. Ishan Kishan hit seven fours and five sixes in this match at a strike rate of 202.94. He was dismissed for 69 runs. So, the hitman returned to the pavilion with 38 runs. In the 12th over, he was caught by Will Jackkarvi at the hands of Reece Basket.

Surya's half-century

Suryakumar Yadav, who came to bat at number three for Mumbai, did an explosive performance. He hit his half century in just 17 balls. He scored a powerful knock of 52 runs at a strike rate of 273.68. In between, five fours and four sixes came from his bat. He was caught by Vijaykumar Visak at the hands of Lomara. After this, Hardik Pandya and Tilak Verma took the lead of the innings and led the team to victory. The duo shared an unbeaten partnership of 23 runs for the fourth wicket. Hardik scored 21 runs in six balls with the help of three sixes. Tilak Verma scored 16 runs in 10 balls. For RCB, Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vishak and Will Jack took one wicket each.

Earlier, in the 25th match of IPL, RCB scored 196 runs against Mumbai for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs while batting first. Faf Duplessis top scored for Bengaluru. He played a powerful innings of 61 runs. While Rajat Patidar scored a half-century. Virat Kohli could score only three runs in the match. Bumrah makes him his prey on 14 runs. Bumrah dismissed Kohli for the fifth time in the IPL. The team received another shock in the form of Will Jack. Jack could only score eight runs in his debut match. Bumrah became a headache for RCB. He had skipper Faf Duplessis caught by Tim David on the fourth ball of the third over. On the fifth ball of this over, Bumrah dismissed Mahipal Lomara lbw. He returned to the pavilion without opening the account.

After this, Bumrah again took two wickets in two consecutive balls in the 19th over. He dismissed Sourav Chauhan and Vijaykumar Vishak. With this he managed to get five wickets. While Dinesh Karthik did a strong performance. He completed his 21st half-century in 22 balls. He remained unbeaten with 53 runs off 23 balls.
