Youngster studying MBBS in Medical College, Barmer caught appearing for his brother's exam A fake candidate Bhagirath appeared in his brother's place in a government school in Barmer district headquarters. Based on suspicion, the supervisor informed the police, after which the police first arrested the fake candidate and then his brother. At present, the police are thoroughly interrogating both the accused.
Inspectors at Antri Devi School, one of the 8 examination centers in Barmer district headquarters, became suspicious of a youth named Bhagirath. The inspector informed the police about this. Police took Bhagirath Ram into custody. On inquiry, it was revealed that Bhagirath was taking the exam by pretending to be a dummy candidate in place of his younger brother Gopal Ram. Kotwali police first arrested Bhagirath and then his brother Gopal Ram from the examination center. Both brothers are residents of Meghawa village in Sanchor district. Currently, both are under investigation.
Suspect cleared NEET exam last year
Police investigation has revealed that accused Bhagirath Ram is a first year MBBS student in Jodhpur Medical College. He qualified the NEET exam in 2023. Now with the aim of making his younger brother a doctor, he came to take the exam in his place as a dummy candidate.

According to Jasaram Bose, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Barmer, the accused Bhagirath Ram had come to take the exam in place of his brother Gopal Ram. Police have arrested both Bhagirath Ram and his brother Gopalram, Bhagirath has also confessed to his crime.
