The married sister took seven rounds with her brother for money

The girl concerned in this incident was already married before this marriage. But the mediator once again prepared her for a second marriage. This marriage was to be done under the group marriage scheme. A boy was also preferred for this. But on the wedding day, the chosen boy did not come at the right time. In this marriage arranged for the purpose of getting a government scheme, a big problem arose when the husband's son ran a stake. So the mediators decided to get this married young woman married to her brother and take advantage of the government scheme. As planned, this married sister took seven rounds with her brother. According to all the religious rituals and traditions, the marriage was conducted under a group marriage scheme.

Action instead of benefiting from the scheme through marriage

As all these cases were under the scheme, finally the officials noticed that the two married brothers and sisters were found in the report. After this case came to light, the discussion of this became intense. Block Development Officer (BDO) of Laxmipur Amit Mishra said that an inquiry into the matter has been ordered. He promised strict action against the culprits. He also clarified that the cash amount given under this scheme will not be given to the couples.

The District Collector of Maharajganj called for a report on the matter. He also investigated the case of brother and sister marrying each other to get the subsidy and financial amount from the scheme. After that, a major action has been taken against the two related brothers and sisters in the case of conspiring to get benefits by arranging a fake marriage for a government scheme.

The Chief Minister Group Marriage Scheme aims to benefit the economically weaker sections of Uttar Pradesh. Under this scheme, the marriage ceremony of women from such families is organized through a program organized by the state government. The marriage is done according to the social/religious norms, customs and traditions of the woman and is followed by financial support.

Under this scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government spends ₹51,000 per couple. 35,000 is transferred to the bride's bank account for her marital happiness and home. The remaining amount is used for organizing wedding events and giving gifts.
