Manoj Bajpayee wanted more screen time in Veer Zaara: On playing a guest role, he said – the shooting was completed in 4 days

Manoj Bajpayee has shared his experience of working in the film Veer Zaara in a recent interview. He told that his role in this film was very small, whose shooting he completed in just 4 days.

However, working with a director like Yash Chopra was a big achievement for him.

In an interview with Radio Nasha, Manoj Bajpayee shared his experience of working in the film Veer Zaara. He also told why Yash Chopra chose him for the role of Zaara's (Preity Zinta) fiance in the film.

Manoj said, 'The experience of working in Veer Zaara has been good. But the truth is that I shot for the film for 3 days in Delhi and then one day in Amritsar. In this way, I completed the shooting of the film in just 4 days.

I had a guest role in the film. However, Yash Chopra and his team gave me a lot of respect. I was just happy that a director like Yash Chopra directed me. I will always be happy about this.

Manoj further said, 'Yash Chopra was very honest with me about my role in the film. He said – this is the role I have for you. I mostly make romantic films, but when I had to select the actors for this role, I was only thinking about you.'

Manoj told that after seeing his work in the film Pinjar, Yash Chopra cast him in the film Veer Zara.

Manoj said- I should have had more scenes in the film

While giving feedback about the film Veer Zaara, Manoj said, 'I know it was a love story. More attention was given to the lead actor and actress of the film. But more scenes should have been added to make my character look more grey.'
