New Delhi, Leading News Service: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia filed a petition for bail in the Delhi High Court on Thursday (2nd). Manish Sisodia was denied bail by a special court in Delhi on Tuesday (April 30). Now he has approached the Delhi High Court. Manish Sisodia is seeking bail in the liquor policy violation case, but he is not getting bail. So once again he filed a petition in the high court.

In the petition, Sisodia demanded that the elections are going on and an immediate decision should be taken for bail. Hence, the High Court listed the case on Friday (May 3).
Sisodia was denied bail by a special court on Tuesday in a case initiated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the liquor policy violation case. While denying bail, the court had said, “Sisodia, individually and among others, willfully delayed the court proceedings regarding the Delhi Excise Policy, thereby affecting the proceedings.”
Meanwhile, Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on 26 February 2023 on charges related to the liquor smuggling case. Then on March 9, 2023, the Enforcement Directorate also took action against Sisodian in this case. Since then, Sisodia has been in Tihar jail and is trying to get bail. But they do not get the relief of bail.
