'Mainu Vida Karo' was composed at 2.30 in the night: Imtiaz said – Irshad wrote the song in 45 minutes, everyone in the studio cried after hearing it

The songs of recently released Imtiaz Ali's film Chamkila have also been liked by the audience. Especially the emotional song of the film 'Mainu Vida Karo' has been given a very good response by the people.

Now in a recent interview, Imtiaz told that Rahman had composed this song at 2.30 in the night. During this time everyone present in the studio started crying.

Imtiaz and Rehman have worked together for the fourth time in their career in 'Chamkila'. Before this, both have worked together on 'Rockstar', 'Highway' and 'Tamasha'.

'Rahman switched off the lights and asked to light the candles'
In an interview given to Radio Nasha, Imtiaz told – 'Rehman came at 2.30 in the night and sat at his piano. By that time I and Irshad Kamil (lyricist) were about to leave the studio.

Rehman asked to switch off the lights and said to light some candles so that we can enjoy the process. After this he started making the tune and I was enjoying the entire process like an audience.

Irshad Kamil had written this song in 45 minutes while sitting in the studio itself.

Rehman said to Irshad – You made everyone cry
Imtiaz further said- 'Rahman kept making the tune and Irshad sitting nearby wrote this song in about 45 minutes. Then Rahman said that he will compose this song immediately. Believe me, when this song was being composed, everyone sitting in the studio was crying.

Rehman jokingly asked Irshad, what have you done? Made everyone cry.

Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra have worked together for the first time in this film.

In the interview, Imtiaz also told that Rahman had suggested the name of singer Arijit Singh for this song.

The film Chamkila is a biopic of 80-90s Punjabi folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit Dosanjh has played the title role in this film.
