Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt recently took a dig at Yash Chopra's film 'Silsila' during an interview. He said that extramarital affair is a secret relationship, one does not go to the garden and sing songs. People keep it a secret. Mahesh Bhatt also said that his film 'Arth' was not inspired by Yash Raj's film 'Silsila'.

Actually, when Mahesh Bhatt made 'Arth', there was a rumour that he made this film after watching Yash Raj's 'Silsila'. In an interview given to Radio Nasha, Mahesh Bhatt said that there is no truth in the rumour that he made 'Arth' after watching 'Silsila'.

Mahesh Bhatt said- I made 'Arth' taking inspiration from my life experiences. The four films I had made before this were flops. My career was about to end. I thought of taking another risk. People used to tell me that you are already a flop director and now you are making a film like 'Arth'. On which a film like 'Silsila' has already been made. Which was a flop.

Mahesh Bhatt says that 'Arth' is a story inspired by a true incident from his life. 'Arth' was the story of a filmmaker who is ready to leave his wife after having an affair with an actress. Mahesh Bhatt has revealed many times that 'Arth' is the story of his and Parveen Bobby's relationship.

Mahesh Bhatt took a dig at Yash Raj's film 'Silsila' and said- It does not happen that you have an extramarital affair and go to the Tulip Garden and sing a song. This is a secret relationship. People keep it a secret. I was sure about my film 'Arth'. I knew that when you bring truth in your film, the audience is able to connect with it.
