LPG cylinder prices | PM Modi's big announcement on Women's Day, LPG cylinder price cut by Rs


Leaders Online: Today on Women's Day, the Modi government at the Center has given good news for women. The government has reduced the price of LPG cylinders by Rs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced this by posting on X. “Government has decided to reduce the price of LPG cylinder by Rs. Our government is committed to empowering women through initiatives in education, entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology and many other sectors. He also said that this can be seen from his achievements in the last decade.

Meanwhile, a day after the government announced the decision to continue providing subsidy of Rs 300 per LPG cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme to economically weaker women for the upcoming financial year starting from April 1, the LPG price has now been reduced by Rs 100. In October last year, the government had increased the subsidy from Rs 200 to Rs 300 per cylinder weighing 14.2 kg.

In August last year, the central government cut cooking gas prices by Rs 200 ahead of assembly elections in five states. Domestic LPG cylinder price in Delhi is Rs 903 and today's cut will bring down cooking gas cylinder price to Rs 803. In Mumbai, the price of a gas cylinder is Rs 902.5, while in Kolkata and Chennai it is Rs 929 and Rs 918.50 respectively.
