Lok Sabha Elections: Big blow to BSP..! Applications of candidates from Bareilly and Amla constituencies were rejected









Leader Online Desk : The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has suffered a major setback in the Lok Sabha elections. The nomination papers of BSP candidates from Bareilly and Amla Lok Sabha constituencies have been rejected. Chhotelal Gangwar from Bareilly and Abid Ali from Amla had filed their nomination papers. Scrutiny of nominations was done on Saturday. In the investigation, errors were found in the nomination papers of both the BSP candidates. Due to this, the administration has clarified that this application has been rejected. Now BSP is out of the fray in both the seats.

In this regard, District Election Officer Ravindra Kumar said, 28 candidates had filed 42 nomination forms from Bareilly Lok Sabha constituency. Scrutiny of nominations was done on Saturday. Nomination papers of 14 candidates have been rejected during scrutiny. Nomination papers of 14 candidates are valid. BSP candidate Chhotelal Gangwar filed two nomination papers from Bareilly. Some columns in their application were left blank. Therefore, their candidature applications have been rejected.

28 candidates from Bareilly constituency and 20 candidates from Amla constituency had filed applications. However, how many candidates will show their strength in the election field will be determined after the scrutiny of nominations and withdrawal of applications. Former mayor Supriya Airan from Bareilly constituency, SP candidate Praveen Singh Airan, Abid Ali from Amla constituency and many others had filed applications.
