Lok Sabha elections 2024 | The first list of BJP candidates today, the meeting lasted till midnight leader


Leaders Online Desk: BJP's Central Election Committee (CEC) met on Thursday evening under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to decide the first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In this meeting BJP National President J. P. Nadda, Union Minister Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh were present. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant attended the meeting.

The BJP plans to release its first list of candidates before the Election Commission announces the dates for the April Lok Sabha polls. According to India Today quoting sources, the BJP is preparing to announce its candidates in “weak seats” in Uttar Pradesh before the Election Commission announces the dates for the Lok Sabha polls.

Last week Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party national president J. P. Senior BJP leaders, including Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, had held a meeting to discuss “weak seats”. On which the party may face a tough challenge. (Lok Sabha polls)
