Lok Sabha election: Ujjwal Nikam resigns from the post of public prosecutor before filing Lok Sabha candidature









Leaders Online Desk: Adv. Ujjwal Nikam has been announced as a candidate by BJP from North-Central Mumbai. Earlier, before filing his candidature for the Lok Sabha elections, he has stepped down from the charge of all cases as a special public prosecutor. He has submitted his resignation in this regard. In the constituency where Ujjwal Nikal was nominated, Varsha Gaikwad has been nominated by Congress. The news in this regard has been given by ANI. (Lok Sabha election)

Adv. Ujjwal Nikam was handling cases related to 1993 bomb blasts, 26/11 terror attack and Aurangabad arms case as public prosecutor. But Ujjwal Nikam has also said that he will take up these cases again as a special public prosecutor if necessary. (Lok Sabha election)

Adv. Ujjwal Nikam has successfully represented the state government in several important cases including the 1993 Mumbai Bomb Blast Case, Mumbai Terror Attack. He contributed to the harsh regime of the accused in cases of atrocities against Dalits in Khairlanji, Sonai. Meanwhile, the BJP has made it clear that Nikam has been selected for the grand alliance in the toughest constituency in Mumbai.
