New Delhi : News Agency : Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday promised the 'Mahalakshmi Nyaya Guarantee' scheme on social media. Congress has promised to help poor women by Rs 1 lakh every year under the scheme. It has also been promised that women will get half share in government appointments.
Congress has announced 5 schemes which are as follows…
1) Mahalakshmi Nyaya Guarantee: Annual assistance of Rs 1 lakh to every woman from a poor family.
2) Neme Abhaal-Nima Haqq: Under this women will get half share in new appointments of central government.
3) Under the Shakti Samman scheme, the central government's contribution to the monthly stipend of Anganwadi, Asha and mid-day meal workers will be doubled.
4) Awareness of rights: A legal assistant officer will be appointed in every panchayat to make women aware of their rights and get the required assistance.
5) Savitribai Phule Hostel : At least one hostel for working women will be constructed in all district headquarters. This scheme will be implemented throughout the country.
I am 83 years old. My stand is that others should get a chance in the elections. If there is a lot of insistence of the workers, I will contest the Lok Sabha elections.
