Lok Sabha Election 2024: Double blow to 'AAP' in Punjab! MP Sushil Kumar Rinku, MLA Sheetal Angural joined BJP leader









Leader Online Desk : lok sabha election 2024 : BJP has dealt a double blow to Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party's Jalandhar MP Sushil Kumar Rinku and an MLA Sheetal Angural joined the BJP on Wednesday. Both these leaders joined the party at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. Both of them were given party membership by BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde and Punjab Party President Sunil Jakhar. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri was also present on this occasion. Puri said, 'BJP is the biggest political party in the world. People from all walks of life are joining BJP and becoming part of the family. We welcome Sushil Kumar Rinku and Sheetal Angural.'

Sushil Kumar Rinku said that the situation in Punjab is changing now. Let us all work together to make India a developed country by 2047. AAP again nominated Sushil Kumar Rinku from Jalandhar constituency. AAP leaders had opposed his candidature. In the 2023 by-election, Sushil Kumar Rinku won the Jalandhar seat with a huge margin of 58,691 votes.

Ravneet Bittu also joined BJP

Earlier, Ludhiana Congress MP Ravneet Bittu had joined the BJP on Tuesday. Bittu is the grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. Beant Singh was killed in 1995 in a suicide attack by extremists in Chandigarh. Ravneet Singh Bittu is a leader who speaks against Khalistan. His arrival is believed to have increased the strength of the BJP.
