Leader Online Desk: A bus carrying ballot boxes and polling staff caught fire in Madhya Pradesh's Baitul district. The incident took place when the bus was on its way to Baitul district headquarters carrying polling materials and staff from six polling stations.
Returning polling staff after voting jumped from the burning bus to save their lives. The driver also jumped from the burning bus. All the poll workers are safe in this accident.
The accident took place between Bisnoor and Pauni Goula villages under Saikheda police station limits. Police officers reached the spot on getting the information. Fire tenders were called from Baitul, Multai and Aathner. Firefighters extinguished the fire in the bus and took out the voting materials kept inside. A second bus was then arranged to bring polling staff and EVM-VVPAT machines.
