New Delhi, Leading News Service : Lok Sabha Election 2024 : BJP has announced three candidates in the sixth list for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Two candidates from Rajasthan and one from Manipur were announced. Also, BJP has announced six candidates for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly by-election. All these six candidates are leaders who rebelled from Congress and joined BJP.
In the background of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BJP took the lead in announcing the candidates. BJP announced another list on Tuesday. In this, Indu Devi Jatav has been nominated from Karauli Dholpur, Kanhaiya Lal Meena from Dausa constituency. Thauna Azam Basant Kumar Singh has been nominated from Manipur. Along with this, the list of candidates for the Assembly by-elections taking place in various states has also been announced on behalf of the BJP. Four candidates from Gujarat, six from Himachal Pradesh, one from Karnataka and two from West Bengal have been announced.
A few days ago, an election was held in Himachal Pradesh for a Rajya Sabha seat. Some MLAs of Congress had voted for the BJP candidate. As a result, Congress candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi had to face defeat. After that, these six MLAs were declared ineligible by the Assembly Speaker and their membership was revoked. Later on March 23 these six people joined BJP. Along with this, three other MLAs also joined the BJP. And now BJP has nominated him in the assembly by-election held at that place. By-elections will be held on June 1 in nine constituencies in Himachal Pradesh. Among the six rebel Congress leaders, Sudhir Sharma has been nominated from Dharamshala assembly constituency, Ravi Thakur from Lahaul and Spiti, Rajendra Rana from Sujanpur, Indra Dutt Lakhanpal from Badsar, Chaitanya Sharma from Gagaret and Devendra Kumar from Kutlaihad. These leaders were MLAs in these seats.
