Lok Sabha election: 10.82 percent polling till 9 am in sixth phase of Lok Sabha election









Leader Online Desk: The sixth phase of Lok Sabha election voting process (Lok Sabha election) is going on today (25th). Voting has started in 58 constituencies in 7 states and 1 Union Territory (Jammu-Kashmir) of the country. Till 9 am, 10.82 percent voting has been done. The news in this regard has been given by ANI.

A total of 10.82 percent voting has been done till 9 am in the 6th phase of elections in 7 states of the country. In this (Lok Sabha election), the highest voter turnout was 16.54 percent in West Bengal and the lowest voter turnout was 7.43 percent in Odisha. Besides Bihar-9.66 percent, Haryana-8.31 percent, Jammu and Kashmir-8.89 percent, Jharkhand-11.74 percent, Delhi-8.94 percent, Uttar Pradesh 12.33 percent.

Lok Sabha election: The numbers speak

  • In the 6th phase, 889 candidates are in the fray.
  • There are 797 male and 92 female candidates. Naveen Jindal, the BJP candidate from Kurukshetra constituency in Haryana, is the richest candidate in this phase with a net worth of Rs 1,241 crore.
  • Out of 543 constituencies till the fifth phase
  • Voting has been done in 429 seats.
  • Polling in total 487 seats will be completed by May 25. In the 7th and final phase, 56 seats will be polled.
  • Criminal cases have been registered against 183 candidates.
  • 39 percent candidates are millionaires. BJP has the most 48 candidates in it.
